My cooking inspiration is Mom - I must say I have learnt all about Pakistani food from her.  As kids we were not allowed in the kitchen till school work was done.

 

My first experience in the kitchen was when I was 10 years old and I was on top of the world as mom let me help her make a rice dish and curry.  My passion for cooking has continued since then and now I spend most of my free time making food for anyone who would like to eat it!

 

I will not go as far as saying my Pakistani food offering is authentic however my take on the different styles is still tasty and worth trying as experimenting with spices has made me a confident cook.  I have to start with the dish that is always made when we have a special occasion or important guests (like hubby) are invited to Mom & Dad's.
